The Florida DEP proposed rule won’t prevent the outbreaks of toxic green slime that currently plague the state, killing fish, fouling drinking water, closing swimming areas, and causing illness in people and livestock.  It will leave us right where we are now:  waiting until it is too costly and too late to protect our families and our jobs from sick water.

Housing for 100 million people is already approved -- but not yet built -- in Florida. That's 5 times Florida's current population of around 19 million people. While costs go up, many parts of Florida will be without enough drinking water. Check this out.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working to conserve the natural resources and preserve the rural way of life in the Everglades Headwaters – the Kissimmee River Valley south of the Orlando area. Public comments needed to support the proposal. Info here.
