MELBOURNE, Florida (October 1, 2010) – The Space Coast Progressive Alliance will hold Progressives for a Better America, its 5th Progressive Fest, from 11 AM to 5PM on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave., Melbourne, FL.
Progressives for a Better America, free and open to the public, features over 50 booths representing a variety of organizations, businesses and politicians including Liberty Sponsor Brevard ASAP (Aiding Shelter Animals Project) who will be raffling off items and have pets for adoption at the fest. The last Progressive Fest, in 2008, was attended by over 1400 people.
The Danny Morris Band, wwwdannymorrisband.com, is providing musical entertainment throughout the event. There will be a several food vendors as well as a large media sale with books, DVDs, CDs, cassettes and videotapes – the perfect opportunity for a collector to fill out their collection or start a new one. Attendees can enjoy lattes and smoothies from Cosmic Café, frozen delights from Cold Fusion Iced Cream and tasty Mediterranean specialties from Petra’s.
Space Coast Progressive Alliance (SCPA) advances progressive policies at the local, state and national level.
